
The Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities, starting today, will be able to register on the “My First Job” platform, where they will be able to apply for jobs in private companies, and also report discrimination in the workplace., .
Only those between the ages of 18 and 34 will be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
Senior employment officer at the organization “Voice of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians”, Armanda Toska told KosovaPress that this is a call for young people from this community to begin their work experience. After six months, she said, they will have regular employment contracts.
Toska added that 80 beneficiaries will be employed this year.
“It is an opportunity or even a call for young people from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities to be part of their first experience through the ‘My First Job’ platform to find their first job with a regular work contract, after six months of experience… All young people from the communities, who meet the criteria between the ages of 18 and 34, have the right to apply for registration on the platform… The number of beneficiaries will be around 80 this year… We invite all businesses, private companies to be part of the platform to register and why not also be beneficiaries… So far, we have managed to have around 120 businesses that have been active participants since previous years”, Tosca said.
The platform was introduced by one of the platform’s creators, Besart Vahia, who presented how this platform can be used.
This is the third year that VOAE has provided employment to this community.
